Sunday rainy day

Why? Why do people associate “rain” with bad weather? Maybe it’s because it can bring destruction on a colossal scale? But heatwaves also can bring destruction, so I don’t know.

Rainy days are the best, at least for me. The sound of the empty streets echoing with the droplets of rain hitting the windows is priceless, and for a brief moment we might forget that the natural order, might well be disorder. Chaos.

Anyways, I’m starting yet another blog, I think this one might be my 6th try already, but nothing like now to start a new one, I guess.

It’s 2021, and I have no idea why the heck I’ve never watched Arrival before. The adaption of Ted Chiang’ Story of Your Life book is from “way” back 2016. I usually don’t bother with spoilers, and somehow I managed to unconsciously dodge all the spoilers of this great movie. And you know what, I’m so glad I did, and I’m so glad I spent two hours watching this movie today.

I thoroughly enjoyed how the movie’s slow pace keeps everything in a calm state, a nice contrast to virtually any alien film.

I won’t say much to avoid spoilers, but I’ll tell you this; go watch Arrival!

Now I really want to read the book.

Trouble in Paradise

Speaking of books, I’m currently reading Trouble in Paradise, from Robert B. Parker, this is the second book of Jesse Stone Series, the first one; “Night Passage” was a nice reading experience, and so far this one is keeping the expectations on point. Let’s see.

Enough of rambling for today.

Thanks for reading, and have a nice one!
